You can’t go wrong with a classic piece from DVF. Known for her iconic wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg keeps designing styles that are timeless, modern, classic and current all in one. Each of her pieces are quality investments that will carry you through year after year. You may spend a little more up front but your return on this investment is certainly long term.

We were not quite sure about this unexpected trend when it appeared at the shows about two years ago but we are now loving “the exposed zipper”. It lends an edgy appeal to many different silhouettes.  From a classic black dress to a pretty print blouse the exposed zipper updates an otherwise merely “pretty” article of clothing into a spectacular piece.

This new detail takes a stuffy Upper East Side look and makes it hip! Tory Burch, one of our favorite (& usually notably preppy) designers, uses this zipper treatment to freshen her pieces.  Alice and Olivia, fashions wayward darling, uses the trend liberally, as in one of our best in-store pieces right now…the little black party dress, sweet bow on the front, naughty exposed zipper up the back. It’s all in the wow factor, ladies!!!

So you see, the “exposed zipper” is more PG rated than it sounds, but an unexpected detail that makes us want to snatch up whatever it is attached to…..
