Two weeks in Italy- What I wore
By Eva Marino
Wow- I’m back from a spectacular 2 week trip to Italy, and I want to share my fiasco of packing with you. What I thought I needed to bring to Italy and what I actually needed was VERY different! If I could go back in time, I would have cut the amount of items I brought with me in half… What it all shook down to was the same items pretty much over and over again, listed below…
- A fitted blazer
- Dark rinse skinny “Randi” jeans by James Jeans
- “Twiggy” james jeans in Sienna
- Michael Stars tunic tees in various colors
- French Connection white/black striped short sleeve tee
- 3 scarves, two printed and one solid, on rotation
- One stretch jersey fitted dress by Nicole Miller
- brown boots
- black boots
- opaque tights
- enormous sunglasses ( I brought SIX pair, and wore only one- whoops!)
- cross body bag in a versatile color(reddish brown)
- pearl earrings
- large dangly earrings
In my photos below, you can see how I rotated the same classic and simple pieces again and again, to create a travel wardrobe both versatile, comfortable, and practical. Now, what to do with the other 25 items of clothing I dragged around with me??? Live and learn babies, live and learn.

The town of Vernazza in Cinque Terre, and me sporting a Michael Stars long sleeve slub tee and a Subtle Luxury pashmina. AJ Morgan Sunglasses

Chillier weather in Florence called for more layers. James Jean "Twiggy's", Juicy Couture Blazer, Michael stars tee & scarf

Tuscany- gorgeous rolling hills of grape vines and olive trees, and rustic restaurants- A Michael Stars shine tee was PERFECT with my James skinnies and high brown boots.
