Summer to Fall Transitions
By Liana Zaborowski
We New Englanders do not want summer to end; its just too short and sweet! However, the sounds of summer coming through our windows these nights are accompanied by a chilly breeze, and so there we have it: transition time. Maybe you added an extra layer to your bedding already. Its like that with dressing too and the layering has begun. Here are some ideas for items to add to your wardrobe as you make the transition from day to night and summer to *early* fall.
- Long sleeve tees! Stock up on them in saturated colors to take you into fall, as you will likely be wearing them often in the months to come.
- Various sweaters in light weight fabrics. Throw them on over your summer tops, then as the season progresses you can wear them over your long sleeve tees.
- Fresh denim! Go for a new pair in darker washes. The cut du jour is flare, but skinny, straight, and bootcut are all happening too. Wear what flatters your shape! Also, continue wearing your cropped denim, and for a good transitional wear you can pair them with shoes with more coverage and a light sweater.

- Scarves and bags are an easy way to update your look. Go for scarves in lighter fabrics but deeper shades to put on with a long sleeve tee. Give your summer tote a rest and add a bag in a nice neutral such as grey, brown, taupe, or black…
Now that you have some ideas for making the transition it will be effortless! As always, come in and see us if you want that extra help! XOXO
