Attending to the Details

By Liana Zaborowski

As we slip into our cozier knits and into the deeper hues of the season, our choices in accessories transition as well. Long sweaters beg for belts. Handbags get switched out for a richer shade. And summer jewelry may not have what it takes to stand with the seasons weightier pieces. This time around the finishing touches are found in metals, chains, and bejeweled bib necklaces that are just right with our turtlenecks, sweaters, and blazers. We’ve brought in gorgeous earrings with serious presence, multi-chain necklaces in mixed metals and handbags galore. Awaiting delivery are belts for the wearing. Over a cardi or jacket, or in your belt loops, however you please. The fun, you see, is all in the details.

Michael Stars… Our wardrobe cornerstone….

We have LONG stated that Michael Stars is our favorite here at Helene M., and we’ve decided that it’s time to inform our customers that may not be as well acquainted with the line as we are. Below are a few excerpts from the bio of the company…

“In 1976 South African Michael Cohen emigrated to Los Angeles from his native Cape Town to work for a British shirt company. Recognizing the haute couture potential of the humble t shirt, Michael Stars has been a continual pioneer in “casual style” since its founding in 1986. Offering more than 200 styles in over 50 colors per season, the Michael Stars collections of Tees include a variety of tanks, crews, v-necks henleys, and turtlenecks, available in fabrics like supima cotton, shine, modal cotton, and supima thermal.”

Now all of that is great, but what Michael Stars means to us is pure quality combined with flattering cuts & vibrant, gorgeous colors. Check out all the fashion mags above who love Michael Stars as well! You, our customers, have told us through your constant purchases that Michael Stars is your first choice here at Helene M., and this is our way of paying homage to him and his brand! Bravo!!!

Cheers,

The Helene M. gals
